Weigh In Day

Well I must say this has been an interesting week for me. We have had lots of rain this week, so much so that I didn't get to walk Wednesday, Thursday or Friday. Talk about a short break and boy did I miss it. On Wednesday I was hoping that when I got to the house it wasn't raining here but of course...so I did the next best thing. I pulled out the Wii and did a 30 minute work out on the Wii Fit games. It was fun. I then moved to the Wii Games and played tennis and then my daughter wanted a bowling match with me. We were having fun until her controller died and wouldn't stay connected.

Saturday I went and did something I have never done before...I joined the gym. I did this since I hadn't been able to walk for 3 days and this way I would still be able to exercise when it rains. I had never set foot into a fitness gym before so I wasn't sure what I was doing. I got my key pass and went back later that day to actually work out. At first I didn't want to go in because someone else was inside (yes, I am one of those). But I got my courage up and went inside. First I tried the treadmill and nothing I did could I get it to work. I pushed every button on the machine and still nothing. So I decided to ride one of the stationary bikes. You know....how hard can that be. Of course the one I chose had lots of buttons too and this one I was able to get working on the first try. I rode that bike for 20 minutes. While riding the bike Tessa came in and got on the treadmill that I was trying to use and guess what...it didn't work for her either (I sure thought the machine was smarter than me). I felt better after it wouldn't work for her either. In a little while the guy on the other treadmill came to use the one both Tessa and I tried using and he was able to reset it and get it to working. Shout outs to that guy!!! I was finally able to go walk.

I had posted on Facebook that I was looking for a partner to go to the gym with and had several respond. So instead of going by myself it seems I have a little posse! LOL!! They say when you exercise in groups the time goes by faster. So those who would like to join the little posse come on.

Numbers, Numbers, Numbers...
